I joined the Windsor Circus School in June of 2017 and started my circus journey doing mixed aerials. Since then, I have found a special love for Lyra (Aerial Hoop) and primarily practice that and juggling. I have been coaching both kids and adults since 2016 as a gymnastics coach. I am a certified Gymnastics coach through Gymnastics Ontario as well as First Aid/CPR trained through the Red Cross. Before I began Circus School I was a competitive gymnast. I competed at the provincial level for 6 years. I enjoy Circus for many reasons, especially because it provides me with a fun way to stay active and express myself creatively. Circus has quickly captivated my interest and has become something I constantly look forward to. Coaching it allows me to share what I love with others.
Fitness and athletics have been a huge passion of mine throughout my life and I have always been looking for new ways to challenge myself. I fell in love with everything Circus within weeks of attending my first Aerial Silks class in Alberta. In the continuing years, I was an assistant teacher for Aerial and Acrobatics with Dance Magic Red Deer, which allowed me to share my love and dedication to Circus arts with a wide variety of people. I moved to Windsor in summer 2017 and I am currently in University pursuing a degree in Psychology and Education. Between classes, you can almost always find me training or working on mastering a new skill. I invite you to come and explore with me at Windsor Circus School!
Youth Mixed Aerials allows your child to dive right in and experience all the different aerial disciplines offered at WCS. This class is perfect for all skill levels and body types. Mixed Aerials is fantastic exercise. Kids always leave our classes wiped out but smiling. The classes are taught by seasoned instructors who understand body mechanics and healthy practices for young people. For an hour and a half, the instructors will guide your child through a series of different steps and techniques, paying individual attention to each student’s needs. We make the classes accessible to the most beginner fitness levels while supplying challenging options to those students who want to push themselves. The class focuses on individual student goals and fitness requirements, allowing them to progress at their own pace and excel in the skills demonstrated. We also host periodic Showcase events where new and advanced students alike can apply what they’ve learned into performances for their fellow students, friends, and family.
