YOUTH CLASSES

Youth Intro to Dance Acro - Ages 8-13 (Tier A)

Youth Intro to Dance Acro incorporates parts of both dance, and acrobatics in to a fun and educational movement class. Dance Acro takes students through the basics of acrobatic and balancing movements and builds upon them to create routines, poses, and transitions. The class is suitable for the absolute beginner, but will challenge current gymnasts and dancers to perfect their craft.

Youth Intro to Mixed Aerials - Ages 6-9 (Tier A)

Youth Mixed Aerials is a sample class. It allows your child to dive right in and experience all the different aerial disciplines offered at WCS. It makes a fantastic first class if your child has no experience and wants to jump right in as they cross-train on all the different aerials. Mixed Aerials covers Aerial Straight Silks, Aerial Hammock, Lyra, Trapeze, Juggling, Plate-Spinning, and Inversions. The class covers a skill or two per day and provides the opportunity build a good base in each.

Mixed Aerials is fantastic exercise. Kids always leave our classes wiped out but smiling. The classes are taught by seasoned instructors who understand body mechanics and healthy practices for young people. For an hour and a half, the instructors will guide your child through a series of different steps and techniques, paying individual attention to each student’s needs. We make the classes accessible to the most beginner fitness levels while supplying challenging options to those students who want to push themselves. The class focuses on individual student goals and fitness requirements, allowing them to progress at their own pace and excel in the skills demonstrated. We also host periodic Showcase events where new and advanced students alike can apply what they’ve learned into performances for their fellow students, friends, and family.
